Welcome to Auxy.

Auxy (“Auxy”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a social music platform that allows users to create and join live events, request songs, interact with playlists, and connect through shared music experiences.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Auxy mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using Auxy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Age requirement. Auxy is intended for users aged 13 and older. Auxy does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 17 and we will take steps to delete that information.

When creating an Auxy account, we collect:

When you use Google or Apple Sign-In, we may receive information associated with your account, such as your email address and basic profile details, subject to the permissions granted by you.

Providing optional information is not required to use Auxy.

Event Information

When creating or managing events, we may collect:

Event name
Event photo
Event date and time
Event settings
Playlist information
Song requests
Event location (if provided)

Usage Information

We may collect information relating to how you use Auxy, including:

Events created or joined
Song requests submitted
Playlist interactions
Reactions and engagement activity
User reports and feedback

Technical Information

We may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

Device type
Operating system
App version
Device identifiers
IP address
Crash reports
Analytics information

This information helps us maintain and improve the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account
Provide and operate Auxy
Enable participation in events
Process song requests and playlist interactions
Improve platform functionality
Personalize user experiences
Detect abuse, fraud, and security issues
Respond to support requests
Send service-related notifications

3. Public and Private Events

Auxy allows users to create both public and private events.

Public Events

Information associated with public events may be visible to other Auxy users, including:

Event name
Event image
Event playlist
Event details
Event location (if enabled)
User interactions related to the event

Private Events

Private events are intended for invited participants only. Private events will not be featured on the home page of Auxy app or on the Auxy website.

Event organizers may control access to private events and may choose whether location information is visible to attendees.

Users should avoid sharing sensitive personal information through event content.

4. Location Information

Auxy does not track your real-time location.

Users may optionally grant location permission when creating an event in order to:

Add an event venue
Display a location within event details
Help attendees locate the event

Location access is entirely optional.

For private events, organizers may choose whether location details are visible to attendees.

If location sharing is disabled, Auxy will not display the event location to other users through the platform.

5. Device Permissions

Auxy requests the following device permissions only when needed for a specific feature. You can grant or revoke any of these at any time from your device settings.

Camera. Used to take your profile photo and to scan party invite QR codes. Auxy does not record video or audio in the background.
Photo library. Used to let you pick a profile photo from your existing photos.
Location. Used only when you choose to add a venue to an event. See Section 4 for details.
Contacts. Used to help you invite friends to your parties. Auxy only sends invites to the contacts you tap; we do not upload your full address book.
Calendar. Used to add party events to your calendar when you tap “Add to Calendar”. Auxy only writes events; it does not read your other calendar entries.
Notifications. Used to deliver party invites, event reminders, and song request updates. See Section 6.
Local network (iOS). Used to connect to development and testing environments on the same Wi-Fi during pre-release testing.

6. Push Notifications

Auxy may send notifications relating to:

Event invitations
Event reminders
Event updates
Song request approvals
Song request rejections
Playlist activity
Session activity
Product announcements and updates

Push notifications are optional and may be disabled at any time through your device settings.

7. Analytics and Performance Data

We may use analytics and performance monitoring tools to understand how users interact with Auxy.

Analytics information may include:

App opens
Feature usage
Session activity
Device information
Crash reports

This information helps us improve the reliability and performance of Auxy.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate Auxy. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to use your information only on our behalf and to protect it consistent with this Privacy Policy. They include:

Google LLC — Cloud hosting (Google Cloud Platform), Sign in with Google, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, and Google Analytics for aggregated usage analytics.
Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple and Apple Push Notification service.
Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Clarity for session-replay and heatmap analytics used to improve the product.
MongoDB, Inc. — Managed database hosting (MongoDB Atlas).
Customer-support and email-delivery providers used to respond to your requests.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

9. International Data Transfers

Auxy is operated from Malaysia. Information you provide may be processed, stored, or accessed in countries outside your country of residence, including in jurisdictions that may have different data-protection rules than your own.

Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to ensure that your information receives an adequate level of protection during any cross-border transfer.

10. Safety and Moderation

To maintain a safe platform, we may review reports submitted by users and investigate activity that may violate our Terms of Service.

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict access, or suspend accounts that violate our policies or applicable laws.

11. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to:

Provide our Services
Maintain platform security
Resolve disputes
Comply with legal obligations

When information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymize it where reasonably possible.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information.

However, no system can guarantee complete security, and users should take appropriate precautions when using online services.

13. Children’s Privacy

Auxy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

In jurisdictions that set a higher age of digital consent (for example, 16 in parts of the European Economic Area), users below that age must obtain parental consent before using Auxy.

14. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

Access your information
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your account and data
Object to certain processing activities
Withdraw consent where applicable
Port your information to another service, where applicable

California residents. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Auxy does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions. You have the right to access, rectify, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

15. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Auxy account at any time:

From within the app, open Profile and tap Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm by entering your password (for email accounts) or by typing the word DELETE (for accounts created with Google, Apple, or Facebook sign-in), or
Email us at vibes@auxydj.com from the email address associated with your account.

Upon deletion:

Your account is immediately deactivated and hidden from other users (participant lists, search, profile pages).
Your account, profile information, and personal data are permanently deleted from our active systems within 14 days of the request. This grace period lets you recover the account if the request was made in error — contact us within the 14 days to cancel the deletion.
Certain information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, fraud-prevention records or financial logs).
Event and interaction records (such as song-request history) may be retained in an anonymized form for analytics and operational purposes.
Backups containing deleted data are rotated out within 30 days.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app or by other appropriate means.

Your continued use of Auxy after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
